"Reach for the Top Make Your Dreams Come True"

Honored by the White House, author of the best selling book POLAR DREAM and international keynote speaker, Helen Thayer is the first woman to solo any of the world's Poles when she trekked alone to the magnetic North Pole at age 50 without resupply, dog teams or snowmobiles. Polar bears were her constant, deadly companions.

She is also the first woman to walk across the Sahara desert. She traveled a distance of 2,100 miles.

HER PRESENTATION
In a 45 minute slide program of spellbinding photography you will hear the powerful story of her polar journey and the struggle to survive. How she solved problems, overcame obstacles and how an unshakable belief in her ability to reach her goal finally rewarded her with success. Helen will motivate your audience to believe they too have unlimited horizons. Helen tells us, "My journey was like life itself. We all have our problems as we travel to our goals but we can all reach our goals just as I did, one step at a time, never giving up on ourselves. If we reach for the top and believe we can do it we can all make our dreams come true."

In addition to her Pole trek Helen presents several programs equally exciting such as:

  • 1) Her solo walk to the magnetic North Pole with her Inuit dog Charlie who saved her life from polar bears.
  • 2) Trekking 2,100 miles across the Sahara Desert, the first documented crossing on foot by a woman.
  • 3) Living with wolves in the true wild. A unique experience of being accepted by a pack of wild wolves. Charlie the Inuit dog of Polar fame, played a staring role in the story.
  • 4) Kayaking 1,200 miles of a remote area of the Amazon Rain Forest in a journey of exploration and discovery.
Programs are tailored for students K through 12 and for adults from all walks of life.

Helen's clients come from corporate America, various conventions, associations, private events, international events and foreign governments.

Her school programs are especially tailored for schools, and have been presented to over one million students since the educational programs were developed in 1988.
